KCCI Offers to mediate in Apple a Day issue

Kochi, Jun 14 : Expressing their anguish and concern over the current scandal involving Apple a Day Properties, a leading real estate developer in Kerala, Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) today said they were ready to mediate in the issue and find an amicable solution.

Suggesting that the owners of the Apple a Day proprietors should be given an opportunity to express their views and come out with solutions, KCCI said ''as the matter was now pending before the Kerala High Court, we have requested the Chairman, Kerala State Legal Service Authority (KELSA), to give us an opportunity to mediate in the issue.'' Informing this at a news conference, KCCI Chairman Deepak L Aswani said the KCCI had proposed to constitute a panel of expert committee consisting of directors of the KCCI, leading advocates, eminent engineers and architects, certified chartered accountants or representatives suggested by the KELSA for the purpose.
