'Adaminte Makan Abu' adjudged best film

Thiruvananthapuram, May 22 : 'Adaminte Makan Abu' which kept the pride of Kerala high during the national awards under various categories has been adjudged the 'best film' as the Kerala State Film Awards were announced by State Minister K B Ganesh Kumar, here.

While Salim Kumar bagged the award for the 'best actor' for his stunning performance in the film, Kavya Madhavan got the best actress award for her performance in 'Gaddama,' Minister In-Charge of Cinema Mr Ganesh Kumar announced here at a press conference.

Shyama Prasad won the best director award for the film ?Electra?.

Biju Menon has been selected as the second best actor in his performance in 'T D Dasan Standard 6-B' and Mamta Mohandas was selected as the second best actress for her performance in 'Kadha Thudarunnu.' Suraj Venjaramoodu bagged the best comedian award. 'Makara Manju' by Lenin Rajendran was adjudged the second best film.

Film 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint has been selected as the best popular movie.

M Jayachandran became the best musical director for Karayileku oru Kadal Dooram. Hariharan bagged the best male singer award while Rajalakshmi got the best female singer award.
