140-metre-long over bridge at Sabarimala Temple

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 25:A 140-metre-long over bridge will be constructed at Sabarimala Ayyappa temple to reduce the rush of devotees during peak season.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the MPs from the state, which was presided over by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

Official sources said the officials of Military Engineer Services (MES) will reach Sabarimala tomorrow in connection with the begining of the construction.

MES is one of the largest Government construction agency in India and provides works cover to Army, Navy and Air Force.
