KOZHIKODE (Kerala): Former Kerala minister A Sujanapal died on Thursday morning at a private hospital here, family members said.
Sujanapal, 62, had twice been Congress legislator. He did not contest the recent assembly polls as he was suffering from cancer. Sujanapal was the minister for forests and environment in the last (2004-06) Oommen Chandy government.
He had started his career in student politics and rose to become a minister. He had authored several books.
Sujanapal's funeral will be held here Friday. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
