Decision pending on toll fee

Kochi, Jun 11: Kerala Public Works Minister V K Ibrahim Kunju today said the collection of toll fee at Kumblam by national highway authority will be continued for the time being.

Informing this to media, the minister said a decision in this effect was taken at the ministerial-level talks with the concerned people.

A final decision in this regard would be taken at the next Cabinet meeting to be held on next Wednesday, he said.

Making it clear that for the present the toll fee would continue, he said the government had asked top level officials of the National Highway authorities to visit Thiruvananthapuram for a dialogue in this regard.

Union Minister of State (Independent charge) for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution K V Thomas, Excise Minister K Babu, Hibi Eden, Dominic Presentation all MLAs, National Highway Authority Director C T Abraham and District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth attended the meeting.
