Chief Minister to inaugurate programme against corruption

oommen-chandy-2 Kochi, Jun 1:Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy would inaugurate "Azhimathimuktha Keralam Pravarthanaparipadi" (Corruption-free Kerala) programme organised by Anti-Corruption People Movement, a NGO, here on June 5.

Informing this at a news conference today, ACPM Chairman P C Cyric said the objective was to make aware people about corruption, providing legal assistance to commonman free-of-cost, organising corruption-free cells in government offices, coordinating officials fighting corruption in government institutions.

The ACPM would also submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister suggesting actions to be taken by the government to eradicate corruption, he said.

Admitting the association was not supporting the government's decision to include accused in the Ministry, he said the ACPM had already held an agitation against this on the day of swearing-in of the Ministry.
