Kochi, May 31 : Kerala Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan today said the newly formed Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government was committed to find an amicable solution to problems faced by suffering families due to land acquisition for the Vallarpardam project here.Talking to reporters after visiting the area, he said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had convened a meeting of all those involved in the issue, including the beneficiaries, district administration and those supported the agitation on June 6 at Thiruvananthapuram.
Stating that the government would not take any unilateral decision, he said the government would hear the suggestions and problems from the families and representatives of the coordination committee before taking a final decision in this regard.
Claiming that the new government had taken the issue very seriously and given priority to the issue, he said as the government wanted to know the exact reason and collect suggestions and complaints from those who were affected because of evacuation directly and that was why he visited the area and communicate with the people.
