Thiruvananthapuram, May 25 : The Lok Ayuktha issued notice to former Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan and his son Arun Kumar based on a complaint that the state exchequer had incurred loss by sending employees of the transport department for training in IHRD where Mr Kumar was employed.The incident occurred when Mr Achuthanandan was acting as Transport Minister. During this time, Motor Vehicles Inspectors and Assistant Motor Vehicles Inspectors were sent for training to the Model Finishing School of IHRD.
In the complaint, it has been stated that when training was granted free at the Central Government institution IMG, the inspectors were sent to IHRD with high fees.
