CPI(M) undertakes march to police station

Kannur, Kerala, May 26 : The CPI(M) today marched to Kannur Town Police Station to protest the alleged action of the police in treating an accident case related a Youth Congress worker as a murder case.

CPI(M) Central Committee Member E P Jayarajan, MLA, alleged some police personel were acting at the behest of some Congress leaders.

The police were raiding the houses of CPI(M) workers at Chalad in an attempt to change the accident case involving Shajeer (29) of Chalad, a Youth Congress worker, into one of murder.

The Congress alleged the incident was suspected to be planned murder by the CPI(M) workers.
